Although self taught, I have been lucky to also train under a handful of painters I admire, the majority of which are some of today's premier plein air painters (see CV). Plein air painting helped me to develop the foundational concepts of light, value, form, composition, and to be honest, tenacity. I am and will forever consider myself a work in progress, thankful for the talented professionals who have taught me a thing or two. Their lessons are taken with me as I travel down a two-lane road, looking for whatever seizes my painter's heart.
